Tulsi or holy basilv

Tulsi(Scared plant) is worshipped as a worshiper of Lord Vishnu or Lord Krishna. Tulsi means matchless, Her leaves always offered to Lord Vishnu & Krishna. Tulsi also called by different names.

Tulsi Vivah is marrige ceremony of Tulsi Ji with Shaligram Stone(Vishnu). Tulsi Vivah celebrated between Prabodhini Ekadashi and Kartik Poornima. According to Hindu mythology or Hindu Puranas Tulsi was a girl named Varinda or Barnida who was married to a demon(asura) Jalandhra.who was defeated by Shiva somehow with the help of Lord Vishnu. Varinda cursed Lord Vishnu to separated from his wife Laxmi and become black coloured later on he was turned into black coloured Shaligram stone.
Tulsi leaves mixed with water considering as Charnaamrita( Charna Amrit) or Holly water. Tulsi plant always kept with Lord Krishna and Vishnu. Mainly Tulsi Known as Rama tulsi or Krishna Tulsi, purple colour is related with Krishna's dark colour. In Bhagwat Purana Tulsi considering as Avtar of Laxmi.
